“Unfold Your Talent.” Your poems are themed to nurture young people as you encourage adults to “Listen to the Children” …and to hear “The Voice.” Additionally, you help children with lessons learned about justice through your poem, “Direct your thoughts.”
You have shared very touching love stories of encouragement and awareness for your newfound readers in the LOVE HAPPENINGS poems. I especially like “Messages 1” and “Messages 2.” I have enjoyed spending time reading each poem.
I was so deeply moved as we sat in a recent Healing Concert with several performers who shared their words, songs, and music … encouraging healthy living and meditative breath techniques. You said, “Reba, open your hands to receive the good vibrations! Take a deep cleansing breath!” Thank you for inviting me to the concert. I returned home and found myself reading your manuscript while playing soft meditation music. Each poem sank into my heart and soul… no distractions, just your powerful poetry. I am so proud to say, “Abena, you are the High Priestess of Poetry.”
Now it is time to share your caring heart and original words of poetry as a book to an expanded audience of family and friends who admire your writing.
